Little Beach House is a modest holiday home at Scotts Head on the NSW mid-north coast, designed to sit low on the site and preserve views over the ocean. The plan is simple and deliberate: three discrete elements - an open kitchen/dining/living space, a bath house and sleeping quarters - arranged around a central courtyard. Every movement between rooms requires stepping outside first, exposing occupants to the heat of summer and the bite of winter winds. This intentional journey connects the house to the coastal extremes, making the experience of place as important as the shelter itself. A restrained palette of bronze, concrete and glass keeps it humble and enduring.
