By reworking + rationalising a patchwork of unsympathetic past alterations, Lightwells House now sits in quiet equilibrium with its exposed coastal setting on a prominent public headland. Responding to the site’s east–west orientation, a central lightwell binds all three levels — a dramatic, whimsical + pragmatic thread stitching the existing fabric to the new.
